4 - Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo

Teatré Phileo having its first play entitled "Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo." It was written by Isagani Cruz and directed by Cled Francis Laranang at Revvie Congson.

I watched the play with my friends in Asia Pacific College MPH1. At first I don't understand what's happening because the play seems to shift from different stories. I really don't know what they're talking about. But little by little I can understand where the stories are going. I think the play is about the irony of life. 

The play has different sides of stories. There is a time wherein they're talking about a person who have the same name but different personalities. There is also a time wherein they're telling stories. There is also a time wherein they're talking about the doorbell thingy. 
When you watch the play you may think that "what is happening?" but when you really think and observed what really happens you will know and understand.

There are some characters who really I admire. the first one is Mrs. Santos (Marsha Beray), she has a personality that you will like in the entire play. You'll love her because of her personality. The second one is Hepe (Joshua Dave Beredo), not just because he is good-looking but when he steps on the stage the mood became different. He tells different stories with the right emotion. I like when he is telling his stories and his reaction is priceless.

All in all, the play is really good and also lively. The atmosphere is really amazing and funny. The cast really did their job of portraying those characters. I would like to congratulate all of the crew behind the play. They really did a good job. I also want to congratulate Teatré Phileo for a sucessful play. The play is successfully done hope to see a play like this in the future.
