Music makes our life more colorful and lively. There are
different genres when it comes to music. We do have different taste when it
comes to music. I would just like to share something about music. It’s about
Korean music or popularly known as K-Pop. If you’ve seen and read my first blog
you’ll know why I chose this topic for my second blog. Let’s have a short
background about k-pop before I introduce the groups that became popular and
contributed a lot in Korean music. So before we start what is k-pop? And how it
influences the teens nowadays?
K-pop is a musical genre originating in South Korea that is
characterized by a wide variety of audio-visual elements. The term is more
often used to describe a modern form of South Korean pop music covering:
dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock, metal, hip-hop music and R&B. It’s
really popular nowadays. K-pop also invaded Philippines and more teens nowadays
are into Korean music. You can see that it’s really in demand this generation. There
are many groups that are popular all around the world. Those groups are trained
for years by different agencies in Korea. Girls Generation, Big Bang, EXO, 2ne1 and many
more are the groups that are popularly known around the world. Last April, a
concert named “Best of Best” was held in Philippine Arena wherein some k-pop
groups entertain their fans here in the Philippines. The Arena is full of k-pop
fans cheering and supporting their favorite group.
Yes I’m also a k-pop fan and I have my favorite groups. I’m
enjoying the k-pop music and I love how they dance their songs. I really admire
them because I can see that they’re really talented and deserve to be acknowledged
and love by so many fans. There are also people who didn't like k-pop, what they do is bash them and make some rumors.
Even though I love k-pop, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like
our music here in the Philippines. I also like our song but not that much. I still
admire our singers here in our country because I can see that they really do their
best and very talented in so many ways. Even though there a lot of genres of
music that came from different countries, we shouldn’t forget the music in our
country. We should support our music and be proud of it.
I'm into Korean Pop girl <3 ahhaa I hope you continue to listen and admire the idols in Korea but don't forget Filipino songs huh? :)
